If you are visiting London with toddlers, you already know that strolling around the city it's a hard job. Million of people, busy buses where only 2 buggies can get in at each time, underground station with no lifts, I wouldn't call London a baby-friendly city.
However, there are a lot of things to do with kids. The fact is that they are all hidden!
Considering that the weather is not our best asset, ingenious London parents have found plenty of activities to entertain our little offsprings. If you are lucky enough to visit London during the occasional sunny day, then go straight to the magnificent parks.
However, if it's grey and cold outside, here is a list of my top 3 toddler activities in London:
# 1. Gambado
You cannot go wrong with a couple of hours at this soft play club. You pay as you go and the cost is circa 9 pounds per child plus 4;pkm pounds per adult. With an extensive play area, mini cars to ride and a cafe, you will make sure that your hyperactive child has depleted his batteries.
# 2. The pottery cafe
This is a hidden gem that only Londoners will know about. Give your child the chance to venture into the world of pottery painting! You can choose from mugs, plates, dinosaurs etc. and expert assistants will give you advices on how to create a true masterpiece. You need to book in advance if you are planning to go at the weekend as it gets very busy.
# 3. Aquarium
This is a classic. Let your kids wander into this dark aquarium. There is a lot of variety and if you head to the aquarium around 2 pm, you will get a chance to see how the sharks get fed by the Aquarium staff. You can buy the tickets in advance to bit the queue.
Do you have any other activities that you love to do with your children? We would love to hear from you!
Love,
C xx
